If Only.

I thought I was supposed to move in with a sly smile
And smirk my way into your home.
But then I found a light just below that closet
And clicked that lock.
Opened myself to a whole new world
Of melancholy.
A whole new world of wrath.
But it’s okay because there are still butterflies
In this world that we live in.
Rainbows that pop and shoes of
Multicolored cloth.
Sizes to suit us all;
Proving to me that we all belong
To something.

When I was about 11 years old, I had to go to the shop down the road and was excessively scared of losing my way there. So I voiced this fear to Mom and she told me that all I need to do is get out of the building, take a right and just follow my nose. She said that it will lead me to every destination with no problems.
She was right.
I still do that…
… it’s how I got here. =)

“Follow me down, to the valley below
You know,
Moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul.”
--- “Lazarus” by Porcupine Tree.

I’m a completely different person now. A person with direction, a person with purpose.
Maturity (I don’t know if I like that.)
But if there’s one thing that has not changed about me is my innocence.
And that isn’t all that bad.
“If only you could see me now
If only you could hear me out.”
